The picture quite clearly shows why the Four Dimensions lasted only a few months, for most of the time they were only three dimensional. They had acquired a drummer of Scottish origin who is affectionately remembered as Noddy
Noddy had found the knack of constantly losing his drum kit, once he had to pawn it to a landlord for rent and the group had to buy it back before they could gig again. Alternatively he would simply just not turn up! The band had a short residency at the Post Office Tavern in Exchange Street now [place required],and on the odd occasion would appear under the name Beats Anonymous
It was during one of the patient waiting moments at the Duke Street centre. That they heard another band rehearsing in an adjacent room. The group turned out to be city stalwarts The Cheaters who were going through a transitional period. The boys teamed up with them and were back on the road again within weeks.
