Formed by ex Utopians Horne and Chase, Oblique signed to NR ONE Records in ?? 2005. The band came to the attention of Gideon Coe of 6Music in 2005 on the release of their debut single but not for it's lead track but the B side When I'm Bored which featured Chris Cooper of The Lost levels on Keyboards. The band managed a second single (Radiate ??/??/2006) before Spooner left for university leaving the band to reshuffle bringing in old friend Adam Wrentham on guitar and renaming the band The Pilgrimage.
