Cheshire had first starting writing songs in his School band Daize. Later he formed Nimbus with Tom King a band that also featured ex Astrobeat Whitcombe.
In ?? 1972 Nimbus recordings were released in Germany under the mantle Granny. Cheshire explains "We had little say in how our recordings were used. We never changed our name or gigged as Granny. Our deal was to produce records for Chris Andrews."
Minor UK hit with All for the love of Stephen and there is the rumour that the single made the top ten in China in 1973
