[Elliot Lidgard & The Insite] Elliot Lidgard was the new veneer for ex-Valiant frontman Tony Batterbee, who had previously been masquerading as Johnny Vickers. Ashby and Wilson were fresh souls from The Devil’s Coachmen. In the summer of 1966, the group entered the Station Hotel Open Air Beat Comp,A2 played out in a field next to March Railway Station. The group had disappeared by 1968, with Wright and Batterbee next turning up in Hallucination.
