"Smokeless zone had their first gig December 1969 at USAF Bentwaters NCO club. We got paid the grand sum of £15 and had to play untill 2 am. The Clique started 12th August 1971 at The Golden Hind PH. My list of bands that l had the pleasure of joining are as follows and in order: The Clique, Jeeps with Terry Fisk, Phil Eden and Dee. Stone Cold Sober, a 6 piece band with the likes of Jim Dodd and Kevin Ballard, Soul Survivors with Roger Kemp, Neil Roper, to name a few. Then the big one, the Gordon Bennett band with Benny Foster, Buddy Batchelor and Gary Smith. Then eventually Matt white and sophia Reilly on vocals later. After the bennetts split up l joined an eagles tribute band for a year. I am presently gigging with scarecrow. Also band of mould. I also gig with anybody that might need a stand in drummer. Paul G and the Retros also keep me busy with paul Gardener and terry Mayhew. When we are aloud to play again.
