Openning its doors in 1962 was the Chantry Secondary Modern school, Ips. “We were all there on the very first day.” said Davies. “This was my first musical venture. We were a bunch of school boys, hoping to reach the heights from the lowest depths, hence The Upper Depth, or something like that!” jokes Davies.
