"The group was form after Spike left Thieving Gypsies, myself and Niall had both previously played with Big Picture aka The Tony Rouse Band. I had done some stuff with Spike in the past with a band called Tripping Violet. He played guitar at short notice after our regular guitarist let us down for a recording session with Hammy at Purple Rain. The Disciples were really an extension of Spike and my drinking sessions. We were out anyway "so why not just play a few songs while we're at it?" Inevitably the drinking sessions took their toll and I ended up forming "The Sex Toys" with Niall and Tony Diggines ex Splodge, Crabs, Teezer etc." MS 04/04/2020
