Ralph Tuck was born in Burston near Diss, Norfolk. He was a businessman and broadcaster for The Farming Community. In 1964 he founded Ralph Tuck Records one of the UK, first independant record labels.
As one of the main supporters of Allan Smethurst aka The Singing Postman and his folk songs sung in a Norfolk dialect. Tuck was almost ousted from his own radio show for his regional accent in 1959 but local protests saw him remain until the show ended in 1964.
