John Sell was born in Norwich on [date required] 1948
"I was born in Waterloo Road but moved to North Park Avenue when i was around 4. I lived in the same block as Mick Dutch. We later formed Georgia Wood. I bought a cheap guitar and Mick Dutch had a drum kit. I didn't get on with the guitar but after having a go on Mick's kit realised i was much more suited to drumming. I bought an Olympic Kit and started to rehearse at the Duke street centre on my own. One afternoon Phil Baldwin came in and said his band was reheasing downstairs and would i like to join. We were called The Kace but became Sleepytalk. When vocalist Keith Lamb left we did try a three piece called The Lovin' Care but it didn't last long"
Drumming Piano Tuner:
"In [date required] I walked into Sutton's Music Shop on Exchange Street, Norwich [now Brambles] and just asked if they had any jobs. They thought i'd sean an advert for a sales job and started me on the Monday. I wasn't cut out for sales so i ended up at a private tuners called Turners in Wymondham and learned the trade from him. I started my own business in 1976 and have been tuning ever since, now my son Iain does it."
