Gilbert Cawley was born in Galleyeood, Essex on the 27th January 1939. He later moved to Brundall, Norfolk and lived on a houseboat. He bought his first kit from Palmers in Great Yarmouth after seeing in in the window, it was blue with silver speckles. He passed away on April 24th 2014.
