"I started when i was forced to have piano lessons from the age of 7, i hated them. Initially i had grannies old piano in my bedroom. My first electric piano was supplied by the Richard Fordham Band. I ended up in Cambridge in 1974 when I answered an advert in the Melody Maker for a keyboard player to join The Richard Fordham Band, I still have the advert! My first public performance was with The Richard Fordham Band at one of the College common rooms although i had done one school concert!" FM 27/04/2023
