Wilson brothers Rick & Jeff had put together their first band The Echoes whilst still attending the George Farmer Secondary modern school in Holbeach. Their first serious venture into music materialized at their parents pub the White Hart in Sutton
The Young Ones were an instant success turning pro in 1962. The main turning point for the band came after their first performance on ITV's, [Juniot Angle Club] Sandy Sanford Show in [date reqired] Impressed by the group and in particular lead singer Ricky Wilson, Rick was asked to perform Elvis Presley's, Devil In Disguise with the Peter Fenn Orchestra. This led to a host of TV appearances including Scottish TV whilst playing in [details required]. The band split in early 1964
