EEN 29/06/81 (P) "Whisky started out in November 1979 as a duo restricting themselves to the local pub circuit. After winning a talent contest at The Tuckswood PH, Nch they were spotted by Phil Beevis of Alert Entertainments and a short summer season on the coast followed. In October 1980 they were turned in a foursome with the addition of a bass player and a drummer to augment the exsisting keyboards and guitar. Since that time they have enjoyed a summer season at The Seabreeze Holiday Centre, Newport, and were semi-finalists in the 1981 'Search For A Star' contest at The Talk Of The East Anglia. They concentrate on pop, rock and country music."
