Tinkers Wink were a folk based group that was started around 8th March 1973. I had met Tony Scheuregger at Norwich City College where we were studying Electronics. Tony got me interested in Folk Music and I was just finishing the band SKRU. I contacted Richard Painter, a guitarist I knew through a friend, Robert Pond. Tinkes Wink’s first rehearsal was on 11th March 1973. Later at a rehearsal at the World’s End Mulbarton on 1st April 1973 we were joined by Anne Brooke and this was the main line up of Tinkers Wink. From the from 27th August 1973 Painter and Scheuregger departed and we were joined by Lewis for the remaining dates of the band. The group disband after their gig on 22nd September 1973 at Chapelfield Gardens, Nch.
