In 196? Dave joined London based Temeraires and entered the Watford Sound Competition at Watford town hall, although the band did not win the competition was evenually won by The Zombies
The band were spotted at the contest by Keith Fordyce of Ready Steady Go fame and were admired for their “off the wall” style. The band then went on to record a demo for Pye/Decca at Jack Jacksons studio recording the original Temeran Blues & the cover Little Queenie
Daves has a distinct punchy rhythm style of guitaring that puts him clearly in the Mick Green mould. The band performed soul/blues covers with their own distinct sound and style and also semi original entitled ‘Clapped Out’ which gave Dave a chance to take-off Eric Clapton riffs and bending them into a jam style tune
Just before the band split Dave once again headed for Norwich?. Nigel Ridgeway emigrated to Australia and it is believed that Guy price has since past away
