Dave Saggers laughs about the name change "We had heard the Japanese word Samurai but weren’t sure how to spell it, so we became Samurai" The group lasted long enough to take part in round6 of the Norwich Mercury beat contest on 31st May 1965 at Royal Hotel, Lowestoft. The winners of the heat were school friends The Concord's
After the group split Duncan joins original Beathoven Mick Brown in Just Us before the group becomes Soul Reaction minus Duncan but with the re-appearance of Dave Saggers on Bass
Dave Saggers later turns up in Jay Lane
