Bass player Gus Geddes recalls the forming of the band. "We were all still at school. I was at Roman Hill and believe the others were at the grammar school, I know Bob was. We used to rehearse in Richards mum's garage. Bob and I were step brothers. I don't recall that many gigs. We played lots of local youth clubs and the youth club at Hopton. Bod was sadly killed in a moterway accident years later."
Gus recalls giving up when his bass was stolen. "I then moved away to art school in London. I later learn't to play the saxaphone and ended up on Baritone Sax. I played mainly with the North Wilts Concert band and occasionally in a folk rock band Strontium Gerbil in a pub in Swindon."
In an article published in the Lowestoft Journal on [date required] some of The Roosters had formed a breakaway group called The Grapevines [unconfirmed]
