Formed as The Riverside Seven in 1957. The line-up of the band does vary over the years. This line-up comes from 1961 when it was resident at The Riverside Jazz Club, Cambs (L59-XXX) playing weekly at The YMCA and under the leadership and club organiser Ted Vousden. It’s well known that double bass player Sid Barrett inspired Pink Floyds Roger Barrett to take on the name but using the spelling Syd so not to get confused!
