"I had been in a skiffle band which barely got beyond the "front room" stage and I can only recall it playing at two youth clubs and one birthday party. The group never had a name and the lead singer was John Mee. This developed in to the band Raks Ruins around 1962, a band playing mainly Chuck Berry, Rolling Stones and Buddy Holly songs. We played youth clubs, village halls, pubs and school dances in and around Ipswich and East Suffolk. Our manager was David Westren. The bands demise was down to members going off to university around 1965." RK27/05/2020
