"We got together very innocently really. I had been writing songs since i was 8, and my best friend (Becky) from the band said she wanted to hear them. She liked them and said we should start a band. I wanted her to sing but she said I should. Eventually we found a friend (Chrissy) who also wanted to be in a band. We realised we needed instruments. I wanted to play bass but Chrissy nabbed that first so I got guitar, It was better to write songs on. We never really learned our instruments as I just wanted to write songs, so I worked them out by ear and tried to remember the shapes! We auditioned for a drummer and found Jim who was perfect. He could actually play his instrument. Anyway, we practiced and then started gigging. We mainly played the Norwich; The Ferry Boat quite a lot, The Brickmakers and their B2 club. The Norwich Arts Center. Then one random gig in London, I think it was The Garage! Then a few in places like Kings Lynn. Nothing big. A guy from Parlophone was in contact with us about a possible signing but it was insinuated that us girls might have to make it worth his while, if you know what I mean! So we decided to leave that one well alone! The NME described us as 'Doom Pop'." JF04/10/2021
