C1961 - C1961
Line-up unk: Believed to be Mecca retained, the trio were resident at The Samson & Hercules BR, Nch from February 1961, playing as the second ensemble during the stays of George Bradley AHO, Don Darby AHB, The Basil Kirchin Bd and finally Cyril Glover AHO.
Although the origins of the trio have been untraceable, a small advert spotted in the EEN in June 1961 for a young guitarist and a lady singer suggest that they could have been Norwich based or later augmented by local musicians. The band's residency ends in July 1961, so their recruiting drive could have proved unsuccessful. The band do not appear to be directly replaced although the new Mecca band The Chic Applin Trio would appear occasionally. The slot seems to have been held singlehandedly by Cyril Glover AHO, also seen as The Cyril Glover Showband.
