It was the persistence of Denzel Rose brother of Brian that got this group together. Ridgeon said, “After the split of my first band Sung Dynasty, I was ready to give it all up, but Denzel would ask, or I should say bug me regularly to go and jam with his brother and friend Rick. I eventually relented and am glad that I did.” The band lasted around a year. “When the band took off, we went and saw Ray Broome (see The Strangers) at The Music Centre in Bury and bought a whole new backline, on tick. The work then dried up and when the group folded so I tried to take it all back. Ray talked me out of it and told me to start a new band playing chart songs and that he would get us some work. Once again I did just that and formed Julius Pam in early 1970.”
