Based at the Wayland coffee bar in Watton then jointly owned by local Boxing mogul Les King said Buckle [unconfirmed] Bim points out that their manager was Tim Denny who drove the group about in his Landrover but believes the coffee bar was owned by Fritz Guymer.

A favorite gig was the Lynford Village Hall near Brandon. Tony left to get married in 1965/6 but joined up with John Jarvis from his skiffle days to form the rock’n’ roll outfit Page Nine

Drummer George Buckle also remembers seeing The Spotnicks and Bee Bumble & The Stingers play there. Although many of the group remain untraced George did go on to join the already established Ramblers in 1970

Supports: Dusty Springfield
