Formed by Tony Relph back in 1960 who had taught himself to play after buying himself a five guinea guitar. The group had a makeshift skiffle orientation. Tony's Nephew Peter Carter was pulled in on Tea Chest style bass until Tony made a bass guitar. This nucleus were to become the fore runners to The Sabres
