Additional information supplied by Jim Cuthbert: "We were active late 1964-67 playing Blues & Soul music. It was me on lead vocals and bass guitar, Jeff Pike, vocals and lead guitar, Dave Whillier, rhythm guitar, saxophone, superseded by Dick Turner. Barry Pike, drums (younger brother of Jeff), superseded Graham Hardwick, Sean Mayes, keyboard, Vince Bodsworth, manager, maracas, tambourine, Dick Turner, saxophone. We played most of the Cambridge venues, some Soho clubs, and our final gig was 3 weeks at the Hotel Miramar, Castro Urdiales, Northern Spain in August 1967. We had a reunion after 50 years near Weston Super-Mare in January 2017." JC 2017

Fumble: Barry Pike & Sean Mayes were playing in Cambridge group called Wilde Beasties prior to joining The Soulbenders. After the band disband they form Balloons in Western-super-Mare who later become well known rock 'n' roll revivalists Fumble in late 1971.
