This group won the beat contest held at The Marquee in St Ives (10 December 1964 - unconfirmed). The Competition was organised by the Huntingdon & Godmanchester Chambers Of Trade as part of a shopping week (No I don’t understand that either) They were presented their £25 prize money by the compare Mr Jimmy Saville. In second place were The Vilgilantes from Ely and in third position was The Tykes also from Cambridgeshire. A total of 14 bands took part in the competition
