Band could have started in early 1977 [unconfirmed]
Paper reports in July/Aug 1977 that band member Pete Jackson dies. Jackson was only appearing with the group while his band Meals were taking a break.
Band relaunches in Oct/November 1977 with several line up changes
Cliff Ovenden replaces Richard Revitt in December 1978, Ovenden was previously from Surrey and playing with The Chris Hamburger Band
At a gig at The Boogie House, Norwich on ?? April 1979 the band play the first half of their set as Kangaroo Alley and the second half as their new name Helicopters.
