"When Basti split up in 1992, four members continued under the Basti name for just under a year, did one UK tour with Meat Beat Manifesto and recorded demos for Island. The band signed to London independent label Hydroegen Dukebox in 1993 and changed the name to Globo. The band composed the theme tune and interstitial music for Stewart Lee and Richard Herring’s BBC TV show ‘Fist Of Fun’ (Series One 1995, Series Two 1996) Ian McGregor left in 1996, the band carried on as a three-piece. Globo created their own production company in 1994, Worldnet Productions, and some material appears under this name, mostly music for films and art projects." MW02/02/2020
