Just before The New Generation became D’Jangoes Castle, a name influenced by early blues guitar legend D’Jangoe Rhindhart, the band fleetingly reverted back to their former title of The Hucklebucks and among others backed a note worthy David Bowie & The Buzz. In April 1968 the group slipped quietly into and then quickly out of the cabaret circuit after playing for a fortnight in Mansfield. In December 1968 the band supported controversial Danish group The Ladybirds who appeared topless on stage at Tony Relph’s Crazy Horse Club  at Feltwell Norfolk. Despite good advertising the turn out was poor; the club’s owner Relph, who was no stranger to show business being the frontman of the resident group The Sabres, blamed the low attendance on good old British reserve. The Castle also backed two times Opportunity Knocks winners Strawberry Jam. In July 1969 Howes left and Tuddenham moved onto bass with Williams coming in on keyboards. Lee retired from the group around August 1969, and reduced to a four piece the band went out as The New D’Jangoes Castle, with vocal duties taken on by Tuddenham and Starling. The band continued into the seventies and after further line-up changes became known as Murphy, a group that would occasionally feature the talents of ex Continental Andy Field. 

Murphyalso performed occasionally as a glam style band Flash Harry.
