The original line-up got together in late 1959 and were all school friends at Hadleigh Secondary Modern. Paul Richardsons first kit consisted of biscuit tins played with a couple of pices of firewood. Bernie Harvey was the groups longest serving vocalist and after finishing his national Service replaced Paul Riddlestone in 1960 [confirmation required]

The groups manager was local Chemist John Forrester who also helped in buying equipment. The later line-up of the band entered the Mercury Beat competition. They played in the penultimate round at the Diss Corn Hall on the 1st June 1965.

The original line-up of the band with the exception of a new bass player Steven Fryer reformed in September 1970 to play at Paul Richardson's wedding reception and then continued for another three year stint.
